Udinese star Lazar Samardzic has been linked with a number of clubs, Juventus and Brighton, but none of them have yet made a concrete approach.
The 22-year-old, one of the stars of Serie A last season, showed impressive skills and a keen eye for goal.
Although the Zebrettes are having a torrid campaign, the Serbs continue to show flashes of brilliance.
The former Leipzig player remains on the radar of several big clubs in Italy and abroad.
But according to Italian journalist Matteo Moretto, Brighton have still moved for Samardzic.
In his column in Fabrizio Romano’s Daily Briefing, the media claim that the midfielder prefers to remain in Serie A, which is opposed by Roberto De Zerbi’s team.
The Serbian foreigner also has many fans in Italy, but, as Moletto explains, those clubs are waiting to find out Udinese’s fate. If the Friulians were to go down, the player’s value could drop significantly.
The journalist insists that Juventus, closely linked to Samardzic, still see Atalanta star Tuen Koopmeiners as their precedent for the midfielder.
Therefore, La Vieja will stay at Udinese if they fail in their attempt to sign the Dutch midfielder.
This season, Samardzic has contributed 4 goals and two assists in 30 Serie A matches. His contract with Udinese is valid until June 2026.
