Juventus have reportedly reignited their interest in Sassuolo teenager Luca Lipani, one of Italy’s most promising youngsters.
The Bianconeri already tried to get hold of the midfielder last summer when he was still improving in Genoa.
However, it was Neroverdi who won the race to sign him, spending €3 million to secure the youngster’s facilities. Lately, he is tied to a contract valid until June 2028.
But as Sassuolo sinks deeper and deeper into the relegation zone, a downgrade to Serue B is more than a concrete possibility.
The Emilians are currently 19th in the Serie A standings, with relegation on the horizon, especially after their terrible 5-1 defeat to Fiorentina.
In that case, the club would possibly have to give up some of their most valuable assets this summer.
Thus, according to Tuttosport IlBianconero, Juventus will try to take advantage of the situation and lure Lipani to Turin.
This season, the 18-year-old has made five appearances for the Serie A first team and two in the Coppa Italia. He played more with the U-19 national team, making 11 appearances in the Primavera League.
The defensive midfielder has also represented Italy’s youngsters at almost every level. He is currently part of the U20 and U19 teams of the Azzurri.
Most likely, the Bianconeri would bring the Genoa venue up to their Next Gen ranks.
