TURIN, Italy (AP) – Juventus could force napoli, affected by the virus, to withdraw from Sunday’s Serie A match between the two teams.
Reigning Juventus champions aired on a Saturday saying their players would be on the field for the opposite fit of Napoli, while their conflicting parties were prohibited from travelling due to cases of coronavirus.
That can force Napoli to lose the game 3-0.
Two Napoli players tested positive for COVID-19 and Italian media reported that the local fitness government banned the team from traveling on Saturday and ordered the team to isolate himself.
Sunday’s adjustment in Turin has been officially postponed and the Italian league protocol for COVID instances is the same as UEFA rules. If a team has thirteen players available, adding at least one goalkeeper, the setting can continue.
“Juventus Football Club announces that the first team will be on the pitch for the Juventus-Napoli match tomorrow at 8. 45 p. m. , as stipulated in the Serie A League calendar,” reads from Juventus on their online page and social media.
Napoli midfielder Eljif Elmas tested COVID-19 on Saturday, just a day after teammate Piotr Zielinski and a team member did so.
After Napoli played in Genoa last weekend, there were consistent tests at the club, more than 20 players and Genoa tested positive.
Genoa’s attack in Turin on Saturday had already been postponed.
Juventus reported that two members still have a coronavirus that “are neither players nor members of the technical or medical Array”
