After the game, Leverkusen manager Peter Bosz asked about Havertz’s long career and joked: “I can exclusively announce that he will play for Heracles Almelo.”
Bosz led the Eredivisie for two terms: 2004-06 and 2010-13.
And after comments from their former manager, they posted a photo of Havertz in a Blue and White Striped Heracles T-shirt.
They subtitled the cheeky image: “Welcome Kai” followed through emoji eyes.
Havertz scored for leverkusen last night was not enough to save them.
He danced about two Inter defenses on the edge of the area, before a major double with Kevin Volland and the dismissal of goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.
Now that Leverkusen’s season is over, Chelsea hopes to get the deal for the star type at stake.
They have reportedly reached a five-year deal with Germany in seven titles.
