Kai Havertz speaks for the first time after Chelsea showed off his sixth summer transfer

Kai Havertz called it a “dream come true” after completing his 70 million-pound move to Chelsea. The 21-year-old was allowed to leave the German national team on Thursday to go to London for a medical examination at Stamford Bridge.

And Havertz has now put the pen on paper on a five-year contract to sign up for Frank Lampard’s revolution at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have been applying for Havertz’s signing for several months, and the midfielder attracted interest from several major European clubs.

Bayer Leverkusen resigned himself to wasting Havertz this summer after finishing fifth on the table last season.

Chelsea temporarily is the favorite for his signing and Havertz has now damaged his silence after signing down the points line.

JUST IN: Bayer Leverkusen demanded Chelsea star in talks to return Havertz

“I’m very satisfied and proud to be here, ” he said.

“For me, it’s a dream come true to play in a big club like Chelsea and I can’t wait to meet all the players and coaches. Yes, I’m very pleased to be here!”

Havertz becomes Chelsea’s sixth summer signing, spending more than two hundred million pounds.

Now he will exercise for a week with his new teammates and may be available for the first game of the season against Brighton on Monday.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard on Manchester United star who can leave

Lampard was unable to spend cash on his first summer on fee due to a move-in embargo.

That same summer, Eden Hazard left Chelsea without being able to bring a replacement.

But Roman Abramovich has completely subsidized Chelsea’s boss this time as they begin building a team to fight for the title.

Havertz joins Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell and Hakim Ziyech as Lampard builds his new look for next season.

And reports recommend that Chelsea’s business probably wouldn’t do it there.

Lampard still does not fully accept Kepa Arrizabalaga with a number of goalkeepers connected to a transfer to Stamford Bridge.

Willy Caballero may be Chelsea’s starting goalkeeper in the first game of the season on 14 September against Brighton.

But Lampard would also like to check to point out West Ham’s Declan Rice about his defensive midfield options.
