WEEKEND GAME
Kansas, who ranks third in the rankings, has outperformed himself since losing to High Gonzaga in his first game, winning 8 in a row with two-on-10 in the front-place parties and 4 against the ranked teams. Among them, there are back-to-back victories, opposite No. 14 Texas Tech and No. 7 in West Virginia, giving the Jayhawks a special touch at the start of the league. They will now be boosted when Texas, eighth place, visits Allen Fieldhouse on Saturday. to Villanova in his only fight against a team that is still in the Top 25, so this is a vital opportunity for them to be legitimate.
LOOKING FORWARD
Everyone in the Big 12 will be in action on Saturday, many of them come from long breaks for the holidays. Baylor, second, visits the state of Iowa, West Virginia 9 goes to Oklahoma, the state of Oklahoma visits the 13th Texas Tech and TCU in the state of Kansas. Climbers and Cowboys have a quick rotation with a game Monday night at Stillwater.
PLAYERS TO SEE
Greg Brown and Andres Jones will have to have big games opposed to Kansas if the Longhorns want to continue their winning streak, and come from impressive games opposed to Oklahoma State. Brown, a 6-foot-9-inch freshman, had 24 problems and 14 rebounds in just 26 minutes, and Jones tied the top of his career with 22 problems. Brown made three shots loose in the last 20 seconds to keep the victory 77-74.
IN THE FIGURES
Cowboys rookie Cade Cunningham, the top scorer of the 12 grand, scored 25 points in his loss to Texas. . . Derek Culver, Oscar Tschiebwe and Emmitt Matthews of West Virginia combined to finish with 18 of 26 on the court in a win over Northeastern. Tschiebwe had his double-double moment with 12 tracks and 15 rebounds . . . Kansas set a school record for three-issue attempts with 37 in its victory over the Mountaineers. The Jayhawks fired 16, a shy one to tie the record for a convention game. . . . Iowa State beat Jackson State in 14 of 58 shots in a 60-45 victory. That’s the lowest percentage of shots through a Cyclones opponent since December 31, 2014. . . . Kansas State has won four of its five games after Selton Miguel’s winning shot against Omaha, the Wildcats’ loss to Baylor.
ON THE WOMEN’S SIDE
The state of Kansas postponed the games opposed to Oklahoma and West Virginia after a build-up in the COVID-19 tests under the Wildcats program. . . Natasha Mack of oklahoma state had 31 problems and 14 rebounds in a win over North Texas. to win this week’s Big 12. . . . Emily Ryan of Iowa State had 20 problems and 10 assists opposed to Drake to win the first year of the Big 12 of the week. . . . The Lady Bears broke a school with its top problems in consecutive games, scoring 253 victories over Northwestern State (136) and McNeese State (117). Texas has scored at least 20 ball loss issues in the game this season. The Longhorns forced the state of Kansas to 34 ball losses and scored 38 problems in their game on December 21.
