The Los Angeles Clippers ahead, Paul George, said he and his co-star Kawhi Leonard worked to improve their chemistry with the suspension of the league amid ESPN’s COVID-19 pandemic through ESPN’s Ohm Youngmisuk.
“I went to where he was [near San Diego], he got here where I was [near Los Angeles]. We spent time in combination – the total organization did, not just him and me – sometimes. The total organization type of time spent in combination with the break.
“I think we’ve stored a lot of time. Without being together, I think we did all that on that break. Somehow he accelerated that procedure by being here.”
Leonard and George arrived in Los Angeles from Toronto and Oklahoma City, respectively, in the off-season.
The Clips finished moment in the Western Conference with a 49-23 record despite a litany of injuries and days of load control that prevented them from enjoying a consistent rotation for much of the year.
They will face the Dallas Mavericks in the playoffs on Monday at nine o’clock at night. And.
George developed his commentary on chemistry later in the interview.
“We spent a lot of time out of the bubble. I visited him, he visited me. We spent time in the bubble. For us, it is increasingly to be together, to be informed of others, to perceive others.” The more we’re together, the bigger the chemistry.
“For us guys like the ball elsewhere, they like to play safely. It’s just a question of where he likes the ball in and around his area. And vice versa. That’s all it comes down to.”
Leonard and George have only been in the area for 37 games and 890 minutes, according to NBA.com, although they excelled at the time with a net score of 13.2.
The first game in its series with the Mavs can be seen on ESPN. The winner of the seven-game series will play against the Utah Jazz or Denver Nuggets in the round.
