Kenton County Commits Site Development Funding for Elsmere Manufacturing Project

The Kenton County Fiscal Court approved a proposal to use a portion of its $13 million progression fund for a new production assignment in Elsmere.

The $669,000 allocation will be used for new power transmission lines for a facility at the intersection of Hapeville and Garvey roads in Elsmere.

“We have worked to ensure that our investments in site progress are implemented in a fiscally responsible manner, with the projects achieving our economic progress goals and generating a high return on investment for our community,” said Judge and Executive Kris Knochelmann.

“This assignment meets any of those criteria, as recruiting more manufacturing jobs to Kenton County is a priority. The jobs created through this work will pay smart wages and provide long-term stability for our citizens.

Sen. Chris McDaniel (R-Ryland Heights) secured Kenton County’s $13 million progression fund, which is administered through the Port Authority of Northern Kentucky.

“I am proud to continue running with the Kenton County Fiscal Court and governments like Elsmere to continue the unprecedented momentum underway in our county,” said Senator McDaniel. “Continuing to improve infrastructure like this will pay dividends for generations to come.   »

This is the third time Kenton County has used this fund to spur economic development.

In 2023, parts of the fund benefited from:
