Kentucky football abandons practice over protests against racial justice

The University of Kentucky football team was the last athletes’ organization to strike Thursday as protests continue at all grades of the game after police officer Rusten Sheskey shot police officer Rusten Sheskey in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

According to Kentucky Sports Radio’s Matt Jones, the Wildcats have jointly agreed to abandon the practice in protest against systemic racism and police brutality. Blake shot seven times in the back on Sunday when he was put in his car. The 29-year-old is expected to survive, however, he is paralyzed from the waist down and is not known if the disease is permanent.

The resolution of British players comes after the Milwaukee Bucks refused to take the short for their playoff game against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday. The protest led the NBA to postpone the playoffs, then followed the WNBA, as well as LA MLS, and several MLB groups chose to take the box in a savage attack.

During the time they allegedly played, the Bucks took action and asked the deputy governor and Wisconsin attorney to call for action on the case.
