During his time off, De Bruyne enjoyed more family time, training during the day and spending evenings with his children. When asked about his time away from the City Football Academy, he said: “I guess just live a bit more of a normal life and relax a bit as a person.
“I think my mood has calmed down a little bit. Well, one day I went to watch F1 in Abu Dhabi. We went on vacation in October, which is not possible. It was fun, too. “
“Going out for a weekend or stopping at various places in England. I’ve never had time for that and now we’ve had the opportunity. So I think that’s great. “
“I was being able to experience different moments with the children too, or go out with friends. For example, we went to Suffolk for a weekend. In the east of England, close to the sea. There we did a scavenger hunt, a search for hidden treasures. And yes, it was fun to do something like that.”
