Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp praised legend Dejan Lovren, who joined Zenit St Petersburg in Russia at the summer window.
Lovren, who moved from Southampton to Liverpool in 2014, played 185 games with the Reds and left Anfield as the winner of the Premier League, Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup.
Despite 15 appearances for Liverpool this season, Liverpool is understood to have won $14 million thanks to the Croatian’s transfer.
Speaking on Liverpool’s official website, Klopp described Lovren as “a very team component since taking office.”
“Another Liverpool legend who leaves the club because he was probably a very, very vital component of this team from day one since I was. I don’t forget when we played Dortmund against Liverpool in a pre-season friendly and Dejan scored the lead with incredible power. That was the symbol I had on my head when I got here and I have an idea of the defenders we had at the time. He played some wonderful matches and scored one of the greatest vital goals in our history. 4-3 against Borussia Dortmund; indeed, a glorious moment to share, ” said Klopp in the interview.
Recalling Tottenham’s game when he was forced to update Lovren in the first part for his horrific performances, Klopp said the defender had returned stronger.
“He’s had so many smart games. yes, I don’t think he’s going to like the Tottenham game when I took it in the first half, but he’s a component of football and progression, and he’s back. When he was in shape he was very, very, very occasionally on the team. A wonderful player and a wonderful person, ” added Klopp in the same interview.

In addition to being an essential member of the Reds team, Lovren had forged close ties to “Egyptian King” Mohamed Salah. Klopp also told Liverpool that when the news of Lovren’s departure became official, everyone joked about “Who’s Mo’s most productive friend now?”
“Who is Mo’s most productive friend now?” because they were actually authentic, authentic bezzes. They were actually close and that’s what we’re going to miss. He’s a style athlete, he was given everything he wanted and now he’s going to Russia, but he can come back, he’ll be welcome because he’s a great guy,” Klopp added in the interview.
