HISTORY: Juergen Klopp’s Liverpool ended his attack against Red Bull Salzburg on Tuesday (25 August) with an unexpected 2-2 draw with the German claiming the team had “mis handled the attack” and had never figured its pace.
But Klopp said he is ‘satisfied’ with the way the fit came out, as it was a kind of conditioning fit to prepare players for their toughest fit against Arsenal in Saturday’s Community Shield, the classic that opens the backdrop to the English league.
Salzburg set the tone in the first half with two goals from Patson Daka, but they were on their backs during the last hour when Rhian Brewster scored twice for the English champions.
