Kostas Tsimikas explains Liverpool blouse number and opens to Andy Robertson

Liverpool made their first senior signing of the summer, while Kostas Tsimikas was shown in red.

The 24-year-old league joined Olympiacos and signed a long-term contract with Jurgen Klopp’s team.

The Greek had his medical exam at Merseyside on Monday before being officially presented as a Liverpool player, and has now set his ambitions for his move to Anfield.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Tsimikas has declared his hopes for the upcoming season and it looks like a double.

When asked ”What are your ambitions for you in Liverpool, either for next season and beyond? ”

He said: “To [our] goals. To win back the League and also to win the Champions League.”

Tsimikas has been signed as a substitute and festival for the left-back position, lately held firmly through Andy Robertson.

In all discussions about Liverpool’s movement activities this summer, there have been doubts about whether incoming players are satisfied with the fight so hard as to be part of the first team and the chance to spend time on the bench.

When asked if he had to compete with one of Europe’s left sides for a place on the team, Tsimikas praised his new teammate, while explaining that he would make the stage a motivation for him.

He said, “He is (Robertson) one of the smartest talents. For me, I’ll do what I can to play.”

“I know Robertson is one of the left sides of the world, but that motivates me more to paint hard.”

He will take over the number 21 shirt, lucida for the last time through Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and before that, Lucas Leiva.

Explaining his to liverpoolfc.com, he said, “I love it as a number.

“I took it to Holland when I was there, then the following year at Olympiacos and used it for two years and now here.”
