Kyle Walker sends emotional message to Pep Guardiola after Man City departure confirmed

Kyle Walker has officially signed for Italian giants AC Milan on loan until the end of the season, which includes an option to buy him permanently for £4m.

The move may end the right-back’s career with Man City, whom he joined from Tottenham in 2017, before playing a leading role in their recent success.

Walker, 34, made a 319 overall appearance for Man City, scoring six goals and winning 17 primary trophies in the process, adding six Premier League titles and one Champions League title.

Milan are expected to cover the majority of Walker’s £150,000 according to the week from his loan deal with Man City.

Reports recommend that the veteran defender has turned down several other offerings to sign up in Milan, due to his willingness to offer him a two-year contract, depending on his functionality in the coming months.

In a social media post after completing the decision, Walker said an emotional goodbye to Man City and in particular Pep Guardiola.

“Manchester City. . . where do you start?” Walker wrote. Signing this club in 2017 was a dream come true. Sure years later, winning 17 trophies, adding the Champions League and the remarkable highs, it’s everything I could have dreamed of as a child.

“Playing along with many of the most productive players led me to be the most productive edition of myself, and I’m actually grateful for the opportunity I had at the Etihad.
