Kylian Mbappe is able to sue former club Paris Saint-Germain if the French giants refuse to pay him the amount he is owed, according to the player’s mother, Fayza Lamari.
Sources told ESPN that the Ligue 1 champions have yet to pay Mbappe millions of euros ($86 million) for a bonus plus two months’ salary in 2024.
Mbappe, 25, left PSG after his contract expired in June and joined Real Madrid as a free agent on a five-year contract.
When asked if Mbappé was in a position to take PSG to court, Lamari told Le Parisien, as reported by Diario AS: “If we have no other option, yes, of course. Now I actually hope that the contract we signed two years ago will be respected.
“Let’s avoid saying that Kylian said or didn’t say, did this or didn’t do that. . . In reality, no one can say what happened, neither me nor the representatives of PSG because for two years Kylian and the [club] The president [Nasser Al-Khelaifi] has met alone, at least once.
“And all this has prevented Kylian from playing since the announcement [made through Mbappé to PSG of his departure] in February. . . “
Sources told ESPN that PSG would not pay Mbappé what he is owed in a bid to recoup his exit money, which sources say Mbappé agreed with PSG in August.

The French captain won six Ligue 1 titles in his seven seasons at the club. Meanwhile, Lamari said his son, who described his Euro 2024 quest as a “failure” after scoring just one goal in five appearances, still had room for improvement.
