PARIS (AP) — Kylian Mbappe has reportedly refused to meet with representatives of Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal soccer team, which has made a world-record bid for the French striker.
French sports club L’Equipe said Wednesday that the Paris Saint-Germain player will not meet with Al-Hilal officials, who were in the French capital to point out Brazilian striker Malcom.
Al-Hilal made a record offer of three hundred million euros ($332 million) for Mbappe on Monday.
PSG need to take credit for the World Cup star now than let him loose in a year when his contract expires.
Al-Hilal on Lionel Messi, who joined Inter Miami after two years at PSG.
Mbappe, 24, is at an impasse with PSG following his resolution not to capture the option of a 12-month extension. Instead, he plans to leave as a loose agent in 2025, when he is expected to sign for Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, Al-Hilal finalized the signing of Malcolm on a 4-year contract. The 26-year-old winger had played the last 4 seasons at Zenit St. Petersburg.
