Kyogo says he remembers nothing in the immediate aftermath of his injury scare against Aberdeen – but that ‘everything is fine’ now after he took a blow to the head.

The Celtic leader came on after a reckless challenge from Slobodan Rubezic and quickly sparked fear among his teammates. He was knocked unconscious in the Parkhead area with medics frantically greeting him, and had to be helped out of the area to be replaced by Oh. After recovering, reports suggest he refused a handshake from Rubezic, who cautioned him for colliding with the striker.

Brendan Rodgers said after the 6-0 win that it was a ‘nasty blow’ and ruled Kyogo out of playing for Japan in the upcoming international break. And that had sparked worry over a concussion that could keep him out for a longer spell. The striker though says doctors have assured him he’s fine – even if he can’t remember anything that happened after he went down.

Insisting that he does nothing to snub Rubezic’s attempt to make amends, he posted on Instagram: “I don’t know how much time I spent there, but I don’t know anything about my friends who worried about me after I left the field. . Mine, I don’t do anything.

“At the hospital they told me everything was fine and I felt that the football gods had protected me. I will never show my gratitude and do my best for the future. “
