Meanwhile, LeBron James had 29 points, nine assists and 8 rebounds on 10-of-16 shooting to defeat a short-staffed Minnesota team.
The Timberwolves were without Rudy Gobert with a hamstring issue and Kyle Anderson with a right shoulder injury, as well as the continued absences of Karl-Anthony Towns and Monte Morris.
