Lampard confirms Thiago Silva will not be in position for Brighton vs Chelsea

Chelsea are ready to start their 2020/21 season in 4 days.

At the First Control of the London campaign, they are tasked with a trip to Brighton on Monday, September 14.

Chelsea came out of the Seagulls last season, they were tied in one of the two matches between the teams.

Graham Potter’s men also controlled for a percentage of the loot in a recent preseason friendly with the Blues, in which Timo Werner scored his first goal for Chelsea.

Before Chelsea’s first departure in 2020/21, Frank Lampard held his press conference on Thursday afternoon.

During the press, the blues boss showed that his team has been facing a number of worker problems lately.

He reported on Monday that neither Hakim Ziyech nor Ben Chilwell would have any compatibility in playing Brighton.

And Lampard has since shown that the duo will be lost, while revealing that some other summer addition from Londoners was not in a position to be presented.

The guy in consultation is Thiago Silva, who Lampard has shown isn’t training yet, and he won’t worry this weekend:

Lampard did not mention Christian Pulisic in his press, however, as we covered Wednesday, the American is in the contest to appear.
