Layvin Kurzawa has become a conceivable option from Celtic’s left-back for Brendan Rodgers at the deadline.
The Hoops manager has fulfilled his wish for a striker with Adam Odah, on loan from Norwich City, and is also looking for a full-back to assist him in the full-back position. Greg Taylor is injured and that leaves Alexandro Bernabei as the only senior option, with a glimpse of several targets to fill that spot before Thursday’s deadline.
According to the Daily Mail, PSG’s Kurzawa is an option. His attempts to sign Hugo Bueno from Wolves were rejected and now the Frenchman is being watched, with only one appearance of his belt in the French capital this season. This prompted his agents to inform the Celtic. de of his availability, as the 31-year-old will also be on loan at Fulham.
Meanwhile, David Turnbull will join Cardiff City in a £2m deal that will end his Celtic career. The midfielder signed up for the Hoops in 2020 from Motherwell and has seven goals so far this season.
He’s part of Ange Postecoglou’s three-time winning team, but appearances and mischiefs have faded under the Australian, and that trend continues under Brendan Rodgers. Now it looks like he’ll be stepping down with six months left on his contract at Parkhead.
Cardiff City are claimed to take him to the Welsh capital and the English championship in a deal that will be around £2 million. He will recoup some of the payment Celtic paid to Motherwell for the Scotland international, who raised a club record of more than £3m for Turnbull. Celtic signed Nicolas Kuhn in January and are expected to sign striker Adam Idah on loan from Norwich City.
