Italian giants are looking for their attacking features after the failure of their resolution through David Silva last month.
The Red Devils are believed to have started talks with Lazio about a deal that would cause 24-year-old Pereira to move to Serie A this quarter.
It is believed that the disadvantaged midfielder can join through Juan Mata.
The 32-year-old Spaniard is strongly linked to a resolution taken in recent months after failing in the line of order of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following the arrival of Bruno Fernandes.
And Pereira faces a war to retain a position in United’s midfield after the club acquired $39 million from Ajax ace Donny van de Beek.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano says discussions between United and Lazio have already begun, with the Serie A team in The Brazilian as an option for his midfield.
It is believed that the Serie A giants, who finished fourth in last season’s Italian elite, would do so after being snaubled through David Silva.
The Manchester City icon was due to go to Rome for a medical examination in August after allegedly accepting a three-year contract.
But the replacement was sensationally appropriated through the Real Sociedad, which sealed a two-year contract with the game creator who infuriated Lazio’s manager, Igli Tare.
In statements to the Lazio official last month, Tare said: “I am learning of David Silva’s signing by the Royal Society. I have a lot of respect for the player, but not for the man. “
If Pereira and Mata passed through Lazio, United’s former goal, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, could be fighting for a spot in the Italian’s starting lineup.
Reports state that the Serbian international, which has been linked to a move to Old Trafford in the past, could head to Juventus.
