Sergio Perez is absent from installation day at the British Grand Prix while isolating himself due to an inconclusive COVID-19 control result.
The Mexican must be at Silverstone on Thursday and participate in the pre-race media and paintings with his Racing Point team, but delivered a result that is inconclusive in this weekend’s race. As a component of the sports protocol, this means that Perez is not allowed to enter the circuit.
Pérez is recently self-a isolating himself pending the effects of a checkup at the moment to get a hard result before he can enter the circuit and participate this weekend.
This is the first time it has been made public that a driving force has provided inconclusive evidence, however, it is conceivable that others have required several tests to give a negative result since Formula 1 introduced its assignment restart program.
If Perez misses this weekend’s race at Silverstone, Racing Point has come to an agreement with Mercedes to call one of its backup drivers, meaning he can between Esteban Gutierrez and Stoffel Vandoorne to update him.
