LeBron James named NBA player opposite Giannis in Scout and executive survey

Giannis Antetokounmpo has won the last two NBA Most Valuable Player awards, but in a survey of headhunters and league officials, he did not name the league’s most productive player.

In the poll, which was published Monday through ESPN’s Tim Bontemps, seven of the interviewees chose LeBron James as “the nba’s best player,” while Antetokounmpo was only given one vote.

Antetokounmpo also did not get the maximum vote for the 2021 MVP; that honor was for Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic.
