Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers secured Saint-Etienne’s central defender for $36 million before this month, where he promised his long career at the Premier Club until 2025.
France U-21 foreigner made an impressive debut on Sunday despite Leicester’s last 1-0 home defeat to Aston Villa.
But the teenager has told French television that he dreams of playing one day with Marseille in Ligue 1.
Fofana grew up in the southern port city, but never played for the French team; he made a call for himself with the lower league groups before joining Saint-Etienne in 2015.
And the 19-year-old has revealed that the concept of play for the club at the Stade Velodrome remains a ‘dream’.
He told the Football Club Channel: “When I was young, Marseille was the club of my dreams. Then it was Saint Etienne, for all I lived with them.
“My dream is to become as big as you can imagine and pass as high as you can imagine in football.
“It was a thing for me to play at the Velodrome in Saint Etienne, in front of my circle of relatives and in my hometown.
“It will be one of my dreams to play at Olympique de Marseille.
“I don’t see why I shouldn’t do it someday. You never know what can happen. “
Fofana formed a partnership with Jonny Evans, who limited Aston Villa to a few occasions on Sunday.
But the house team was defeated thanks to a very good past effort by Ross Barkley that took the victory from visitors.
