German champions Bayer Leverkusen will celebrate their historic season with their fans on May 26 with a parade of open-top buses and a stadium tour, the club announced on Monday.
The occasion took place a day after the German Cup final, where they faced Kaiserslautern, second division, in Berlin. Xabi Alonso’s side could also take part in the Europa League final on May 22 in Dublin.
Even if the hitherto unbeaten team stumbles in the cup and misses out on a remarkable treble, they will still be celebrating their first Bundesliga title and their run of at least 48 games unbeaten in all competitions.
Around 40,000 single tickets will be available for purchase for the party at the stadium.
