Former Juventus prop Alessio Taccinardi has subsidised his former team to make a move for Bologna’s Scottish star Lewis Ferguson next summer.
The 24-year-old has led Serie A through a typhoon since completing a £3m transfer from Aberdeen in the summer of 2022, and his thirteen goals in 63 games have seen him overtake Denis Law as the highest-scoring Scot on Italy’s most sensible flight. . . Ferguson is temporarily an essential component of the Bologna squad led by former Inter Milan and Italy midfielder Thiago Motta, who are aiming to qualify for the Champions League this season and have donned the captain’s armband on several occasions.
Ferguson’s exploits have already caught the attention of several of the most sensible Italian clubs, with AC Milan and Napoli also admiring the player. Recent reports in Italy suggest Juve would possibly have to choose between Ferguson or Atalanta’s Dutch playmaker Teun Koopmeiners, but former midfielder Tacchinardi. Who won 17 major titles with the Old Lady between 1994 and 2007, recommended his former team try to bring any of the players to Juventus Stadium.
Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, he said: “In my opinion, Juve choose either of them. This team wants midfielders who can score goals: and they both are. You want intense players: and they both are. Players who dribble and attack the goal: and neither are they.
“They complement each other very well and I would choose both. If I had to choose, I would also have the technical guide: Koopmeiners likes to dribble more, Ferguson comes in. But of course, I ferais. je see them together and in my opinion they are two Juventus players.
