The Spaniard is on fire for Aston Martin this season and will retire as one of the best drivers to have ever seen the game.
But the first, with a net worth of almost £200m more than Verstappen, is Hamilton, despite his setbacks at Mercedes over the past two years.
The 38-year-old Briton has sat at the top level of F1 for most of his career, equalling Michael Schumacher’s seven world titles.
And his continued good fortune and off-grid interests have helped him gain a net worth of £270. 9 million, more than several existing drivers combined.

Rounding out the top 10, Sergio Perez is fourth (£62. 4m), while Daniel Ricciardo is fifth with Lance Stroll (£41. 6m), despite being only Red Bull’s third engine after losing his seat at McLaren.
Pierre Gasly is seventh (£27. 4m), followed by Valtteri Bottas (£25m), Kevin Magnussen (£20. 8m) and Esteban Ocon (£14. 9m).
Although Verstappen is categorically following Hamilton in 2023, he will one day catch up if he continues his upward trajectory.
There is no doubt that the Dutchman is an asset of F1 and will continue to provide that prestige as long as Red Bull provides him with a fake package.
