Lionel Messi announced this Friday that he will be at Barcelona next season.
Messi made the announcement in a video interview posted through Goal.com said he would participate in a legal dispute with the club.
The resolution ended with an impasse in his long career after telling Barcelona that he was looking to leave the club on the loose at the end of the season.
Barcelona asked him to terminate his contract, which runs until the end of 2021, claimed that Messi’s exit clause had expired in June and said he had to pay the $700 million ($837 million) termination clause if he wanted to leave now..
There was no agreement when Messi’s father and Barcelona’s president, Josep Bartomeu, met on Wednesday to discuss the player’s future, and Jorge Messi said his son wanted to leave and Barcelona said yes.would not facilitate their transfer.
