Timo Werner has spoken about his loan spell at Tottenham and says he is hungry for titles.
“I’m very satisfied to be here,” Werner said in an interview with Tottenham’s official website. “I joined a very big club. I had a very intelligent conversation with the coach; He immediately gave me the feeling that I needed to be at a club, that I was looking to feel.
“Also the tactics and the style, the way the team will play; For me, I immediately thought it was a better fit. Plus, the new stadium was something special. I enjoyed it right away. It will be even more special to score for the home team and have the whole crowd when you score.
“I hope I can be the most productive player I can be here. I can play in all positions up front; It’s smart when you have players who can replace the position, even in the game. I think that’s one of my strengths, being flexible.
Werner, who was part of the Chelsea squad that beat Manchester City to win the Champions League in 2021, added: “When I left the Premier League, you know straight away that you’re missing something because it’s the most productive league in the world. world. I missed London too.
“My purpose in coming back here is to fight for some other win in this league and some titles as well. When I joined my old club (Chelsea), I also said I was looking to win and I was looking to win titles here and we won the Champions League, so I think it shouldn’t be so bad to say I came here to win as well. Titles, to win something.

Rightly so, for a player as fast as Timo Werner, one of the most striking things about his loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur is how temporary it was.
Agreed over the weekend in the early knockings of the transfer window, Spurs insiders have been commenting on how unusual it is for them to be so speedy.
Usually, in January, things happen over time. Over the course of 12 years, seven of their last nine signings in the winter window came at the deadline (or later in the case of Ryan Nelsen), and the rest on January 29 and 28.
In Werner’s case, Spurs acted temporarily for a number of reasons. The first is that Postecoglou publicly and privately demanded that the club live in this window. And in the Spurs hierarchy, there’s a preference for giving the head coach, who has made such a smart start, what he wants.
Technical director Johan Lange was acutely aware of this need for speed and worked to get as much in place as possible heading into January. He was one of the key figures in this deal, along with Postecoglou, who has admired Werner for a long time and is confident the former Chelsea forward can do well in his system.

Thierry Henry says he struggled with depression and cried “almost every day for no reason” at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
Henry was the head coach of CF Montreal in MLS at the time and says not being able to see his children for a year “was hard. “
“Everything came at once especially, during COVID time,” Henry said on the Diary of a CEO podcast. “That is when I really stopped. I was becoming a coach and I was trying to find things to stop myself from thinking about what had been chasing me. Deal with what has happened. We tend to run, instead of facing our problems. You stay busy and try to avoid what has happened. When COVID happened, I couldn’t not run.
“I isolated myself from Montreal. No I was able to see my children for a year. Something like this had to happen to me in order to perceive the vulnerability, the empathy and the crying. Understand that anger and jealousy are normal.
“I cried almost every day for no reason. The tears flowed a lot. For what? I don’t know. Maybe they had been there for a long time. I cried about everything and everything. I don’t know if it was going to come out. It’s strange, in a clever way.
“I didn’t know (I suffer from depression). I’d like to think so. How did I know? I don’t know the signs. I can’t tell you if I’m or not (I suffer from depression) because I don’t know the signs.
“I’m a human being. I have feelings. Throughout my career and ever since I was born, I must have been depressed. Did you know? Have I done anything about it? Of course not, but I adapted.

After Arsenal’s 2-0 loss at home to Liverpool made it three defeats in a row in all competitions, the overarching narrative was that Mikel Arteta’s team lack a clinical goalscorer.
Maybe that’s true. Arteta may not have an Erling Haaland or a Mohamed Salah who are determined to score in each and every game, but does he want one?The rational answer is that they probably won’t.
Wait, you’re still not successful with the keyboard, let’s talk about it. In the last 4 matches, Arsenal have created chances worthy of five goals without penalties. He only scored twice.
Yes, for Arsenal fans that is very frustrating, but Arteta’s side have simply fallen victim to some short-term statistical variance. A dollop of bad luck, some bad shooting in specific moments, and some great goalkeeping can all conspire against you to compound such frustration.
Simply delving into the moving market is no guarantee of solving this problem.
