The fireplace in a little while before 8 p. m. on the site of the former High Street Cooperative Bank in the city center.
Approximately 10 teams of chimney locations are lately on the scene looking to take control of the chimney site.

As Skelmersdale’s huge fireplace burns, Lancashire Fire has issued recommendations to residents.
If you can see or feel smoke coming out of the fire, keep windows and doors closed to prevent them from entering your home.

They tweeted the images to warn others to stay away from the area.

Several police cars and ambulances are also on the scene on High Street.
Officers have implemented a number of road closures, while members of the Incident Response Unit are also available if necessary.
The INRIX online page has released an update on the incident to warn citizens of road closures.
They said: “High Street on any of the instructions closed due to the construction of a fireplace between Westgate and Jubilee Drive.
“The road has been closed since Tuesday night. Westgate is closed because of the fire. “
A Lancashire Fire spokesperson added: “Lancashire Police have closed several roads in the domain and the public must stay away from the facility. “
Lately there are dozens of firefighters in the abandoned construction site in Skelmersdale.
Residents of the domain said it was the construction site of the former cooperative bank that had been empty for several years.
Posting an update on Twitter, Lancashire Fire said: “We have 8 trucks with room for chimneys from Lancashire, Manchester Fire and Mersey Fire, a place for chimneys in a deserted construction on High Street, Skelmersdale.
“They called us around 7:30 p. m. and the teams are struggling to take control of the chimney. “
