Liverpool are in the final position on derby county prodigy Kaide Gordon, who has been to Mohamed Salah and Mason Greenwood.
That’s according to Liverpool Echo, who says the 16-year-old can arrive for a down payment of 1 million pounds amounting to 3 million pounds.
Tottenham and Manchester United have also teamed up with last season’s Derby Academy Player of the Year, but liverpool appear to have taken the lead in the race by signing.
His plot of “a clear path to first-team football” is believed to be enough to convince Gordon and his family.
The attacking left winger, deployed on the right flank, cannot signal a professional contract until he turns 17 in October.
Speaking on Echo’s Blood Red podcast, Jack Hasler, who has covered many Derby youth games for more than two seasons, set Gordon’s left foot on Salah’s.
“His [greatest strength] is his haggling skills, he is a very agile player and he also has a little speed,” he said.
“As for the skills you have now, and at 16, you’re a high-quality player. He has a good eye for targets and creates targets for his teammates.

Hasler there when Gordon made his debut against Newcastle at the age of 15 and described him as the most productive player on the field.
