Liverpool’s elimination from the Europa League quarter-finals can help them in their quest for the Premier League title, manager Jurgen Klopp said.
Trailing 3-0 to Atalanta after the first leg at Anfield, Mohamed Salah’s penalty in Thursday’s second leg gave Liverpool a 1-0 win in Italy, but Klopp lost 3-1 on aggregate.

“Disappointed that we couldn’t qualify, but not frustrated or angry. Now we can do it in the championship and that’s what we’re going to do,” Klopp told reporters.
“They gave us a few days and then we’ll play at Fulham, which will be difficult, but we’re going to give it our all. Now it’s our festival. “
Third-placed Liverpool are on par with Arsenal on 71 points but trail on goal difference, while leaders Manchester City have 73 points.
Klopp said he was not worried about Salah’s form when asked about the striker’s form in recent games.
“The penalty was super convincing, a wonderful penalty and then the next chance was clearly unfortunate, but it’s not the first time you’ve missed an opportunity like that,” Klopp added.
“I’m not particularly worried. That’s what strikers do, that’s what happens to strikers, that’s how it is. “
