Liverpool is looking for their team this summer.
Of course, it is the task of all the teams in the movement window, but the Reds seem to face a particularly complicated task for their harvest.
The Reds won the name through 18 points, wasting 3 games and awarding 33.
However, they sold Dejan Lovren to Zenit St Petersburg in that window and this opened up a position for a new defender on the team.
It turns out that manager Jurgen Klopp also needs to hire one, and there have been several reports on possible goals.
Ben White, the brighton-Hove Albion defender who spent the season on loan at Leeds United, and Napoli Kalidou Koulibaly’s central defender were discussed as imaginable acquisitions.
And Sport Witness carries an AS report that Diego Carlos of Seville is on the Reds list.
The 27-year-old came to the club last summer from Nantes, made 42 appearances in 2019/20, and can now move in for a huge fee.
The report states that Carlos is aware of his interest in him, with “dizzying offers”. The Reds and Manchester City, like Bayern Munich, are designated as potential contenders.
It has a clause of 75 million euros (67.4 million pounds), but Seville would be willing to negotiate this price.
It remains to be seen, then, whether Liverpool can reduce that value as they watch to recruit the central defender this summer.
Carlos is a defender.
According to WhoScored, he averaged a consistent take on the game in La Liga, 1.1 interceptions and five staggering clearances. He haggled only 0.3 times.
He’s a remarkably smart player and Sevilla is obviously on auction this summer.
He was signed from Nantes last summer and already he has some of Europe’s elite queuing up to secure his signature.
The defender is the finished article, at 27, and the technique is at its peak.
With Klopp as Virgil van Dijk’s spouse, the Brazilian can be an exceptional acquisition.
