Mohamed Salah has issued a cheeky goodbye message to Dejan Lovren following his exit from Liverpool.
The Zaguero has won 10.9 million pounds from Russian club Zenit St Petersburg after six years with the Reds.
The 31-year-old has been a key player at Liverpool in his early days, but in recent seasons he has a peripheral figure.
Lovren won a Premier League winner’s medal for the club’s name win this month, but is now on his way back to Russia.
The Croatian was highly regarded in Liverpool’s wardrobe and underlined it through Salah’s playful farewell gift.
A photo of the duo had made the impression on Instagram and Lovren responded by saying, “We’re still brothers forever.”
Salah, however, hilariously retorted, “Don’t tell me too much, I’m on vacation.”
The striker’s message was evidently a joke, as it followed a brilliant tribute that had paid Lovren this week when his move was announced.
“It is a pleasure and I wish you the most productive in your new adventure! I’m sure we’ll see each other again soon.”
Lovren recently said of his release: “Yes, I saw it [the video]. I don’t need to show too much emotion because I cried before the last game.
“They saw that I felt the emotions. Especially when I leave Mo, my smart friend.
“It was something special as I said, it’s just the beginning of a wonderful friendship, even when we’re far away.
“He knows he can call me for some reason, I’m there for him.
“It’s not just Mo, it’s all the club staff, the staff, the medical staff. We’ve been like a big family, and that’s why Liverpool is so big: because we care about each other.”
“I wish you all the best and I need you to stay healthy. We’ll be in touch.”
