A new update on Liverpool’s persecution of Thiago gave the impression on Thursday.
Thiago, of course, has been a mainstay of Bayern Munich since FC Barcelona in 2013.
In total, he made 235 appearances in his time in Germany, adding 40 in his last term.
However, while still a key figure for the Bavarians, Thiago’s career is far from the Allianz Arena.
In July, Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge showed that the Spaniard, who has entered the last 12 months of his contract, had expressed a willingness to move on:
He’s a wonderful guy on and off the field. We negotiated with him and answered all his wishes, but Thiago Alcantara left. “
“It seems like he might need to do something new at the end of his career. We don’t need to lose a player to lose next year. I say that very clearly. “
Rummenigge’s comments came a few days after reports from the Spanish press stated that Thiago “is very close to Liverpool”.

A replacement for Anfield, of course, has still been positioned and, over the weeks, the Liverpool faithful have certainly worried about the lack of action on Thiago’s forehead.
The player himself even recommended that he could stay at the Allianz Arena before this month.
On Thursday, however, reports in the British media began to accumulate that a deal to take the Spaniard to Merseyside is almost over.
As first reported through The Athletic, Liverpool have agreed to signal Bayern’s star for about 30 million euros.
Negotiations for the midfielder have reportedly accelerated in recent days after Bayern’s heads of movement made it clear that they were seeking a deal before the start of the 2020/21 Bundesliga season on Friday.
Athletic added that the 29-year-old will sign a four-year contract at Anfield and pass his number 6 shirt.
Other British media outlets have also picked up history, some citing slightly lower rates than those presented through The Athletic:

Bayern manager Hansi Flick also nearly showed that Thiago is about to leave:
