Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips is reportedly a target for Liverpool ahead of the January transfer window.

Phillips is expected to leave the Etihad Stadium this winter after failing to make the starting line-up following his arrival in 2022 from Leeds United. Pep Guardiola recently apologised to the 28-year-old for not betting on him as he would have. appreciated.

The confession opened the door to speculation about Phillips, with the likes of Newcastle United, Everton and Juventus linked with his move. According to Calciomercato, Jurgen Klopp threw himself into the ring at that moment.

The Merseyside club are yet to update Fabinho and Jordan Hfinisherson well, so it’s no surprise to see them discussed alongside Phillips. However, Liverpool are still one of the Blues’ biggest rivals in the Premier League, which may kill any interest.

It is claimed that if City had the option, they would like the midfielder to move to Juve or stay in England. Following this report, the Daily Mail understands that Les Bleus could make his wish come true.

Phillips is said to be open to a new experience after spending time with City and would like to move to Serie A. No official talks have yet been established with the midfielder, but Juve are working hard to bring the Englishman to the club.

However, the old lady is still struggling to balance the books and therefore would not be able to do anything other than a loan at this stage. As it turns out, however, it suits Phillips as he hopes to earn minutes ahead of Euro 2024.

The Puma home shirt features the traditional sky blue colour but has slightly darker blue detailed stripes across the front which take inspiration from the Etihad Stadium’s walkways. City moved to their new home from Maine Road in 2003 and the shirt honours that anniversary.

Prices start from £55
