Liverpool’s recruitment sees Ozan Kabak only as a medium-term signing and Schalke’s defense may not be an option for the next Window in January if Jurgen Klopp needs a player to make a quick impact, according to reports.
Premier League champions seem to have to use the January market for their team after the long-term injuries of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.
That leaves Joel Matip as the only Liverpool senior player who has compatibility and an available middle half, but hasn’t played in back-to-back Premier League matches for more than 12 months.
Defensive midfielder Fabinho is expected to recover from a hamr tendon injury after the foreign break, however Matip’s recent unreliable record means that until January Klopp could be forced to bring in green substitutes Rhys Williams and Nat Phillips.
With Van Dijk and Gomez potentially absent for the rest of the existing campaign, it is very likely that the German coach will use the window to bring at least one new face.
And the Daily Mirror reports that Klopp had already moved to a new central half in the middle of the campaign.
Liverpool replaced Dejan Lovren after promotion of the Croatian to Zenit St. Petersburg this summer, signing Kostas Tsimikas, Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota.
But the destruction of his baseline has called into question his aspirations for glory in the Premier League and Champions League and Klopp will most likely seek to make a signing to reinforce his options.
The Mirror reports that Kabak del Schalke, a five-call Turkish international, has been on Liverpool’s recruitment radar for several months and that his stage is being monitored.

The 20-year-old has played 31 Bundesliga matches since coming from Stuttgart in the summer of 2019.
And he’s been connected to Anfield since the summer, and Kabak’s qualities mark him as a choice for the Merseyside club.
However, the Mirror adds that Liverpool see Kabak only as a medium-term prospect more than someone who can have an impact on Liverpool’s defence centre.
Klopp wants a midfielder capable of adapting more to his demands given the time he will be without Gómez and Van Dijk.
Another option is Dayot Upamecano of RB Leipzig, who say he is also on Liverpool’s radar.

The 22-year-old Frenchman has great joy because he is only two years older than Kabak and is one of Europe’s highest-skilled young central defenders.
Liverpool legend Steve Nicol would love to see Klopp make a change to bring in the Manchester United ace.
“Oh, my God, [Liverpool’s chances] are wasting 20. 25% of where Van Dijk was,” Nicol said at ESPN FC.
“I think Liverpool will surely have to faint and spend a lot of cash because of this injury. “Joe Gomez, 23, has already passed two primary surgeries. This means that the chances of it going through the back increase. Speaking of Liverpool percentages protecting [the title], you’re talking about percentages of a player with a serious injury. “And take Upamecano. “
