The Reds announced the news through a message on their club’s official online page this afternoon.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper joined Liverpool in the summer of 2020 after a spell at Reading. Laws returned to the Merseyside club seven years after a loan spell with the Reds from former club Sunderland.

Since his time at Liverpool, Laws has a fan favourite. The player has represented the club in 78 league competition events. He won the Barclays Women’s Super League with Liverpool in 2013 and helped the club win the Barclays Women’s Championship title in 2021/2022.

Laws is a player who has continued her progression in the professional game and hopes to enjoy much more luck with Liverpool after extending her contract with the Reds.

After re-signing for Liverpool, Laws said: “I’m excited, I’m surely excited! This club means a lot to me and it’s like my home moment.

“I’ve been here for a long time to find out what the club means to me, to my family circle and even to my friends. They ask for it, so signing a new contract here means everything to me.

Laws is the second player to sign a new contract with Liverpool this summer.
