Liverpool in a position to remember Takumi Minamino and Red Bull Salzburg

Liverpool are expected to face in some respects a Red Bull Salzburg team they beat at home and out of an entertaining way in the Champions League last season, before signing Takumi Minamino from the Austrian Bundesliga weeks later.

This is the opinion of Joe Donnohue of Scouted Football, a team that covers promising players and clubs, who will be offered a review of what FC Midtjylland will offer on the Blood Red podcast.

He explained: “It’s an attractive club because they’re only 21, they’re made up of two local clubs, then they’re in the leagues and they’re champions of Denmark.

“They are well advanced and created their own academy in 2004, which is necessarily the ‘Danish Clairefontaine’ [the outstanding academy in France that has produced personalities such as Thierry Henry and Kylian Mbappé].

“The most productive young Danish players tend to work out in Midtjylland and can integrate them into the first team. They have a very young team but they don’t have much fun in front of elite groups like Liverpool. “

Red Bull Salzburg, whom Liverpool faced last season at the organization level and then faced Austria this summer, is a comparable team in terms of taste and philosophy at Midtjylland.

The Danish side, however, has a minor player and has no one as smart as Erling Haaland, Takumi Minamino or Hee-Chan Hwang in their ranks, 3 opposing players the Reds faced 12 months ago, but have since been sold through Salzburg.

Donnohue added: “You’ll feel good in football even if Liverpool surprise them, because Midtjylland will play football. They have a lot of players who are a little naive on the defensive.

“There are parallels with Salzburg last season, however, Salzburg on a higher plane than Midtylland has lately in terms of experience.

“They’re on the side of Thomas Gronnemark, Liverpool’s replacement coach, and they’re ‘one consistent with the penny’: they’ll do anything that gives them an advantage.

“Trusting knowledge and research has been very favorable and belongs to Brentford owner Matthew Benham. It’s a reasonable acquisition and sells for much more – it’s the style they subscribe to and have had a lot of good luck with for a decade or 15 years. “

Premier League champions Liverpool will once again dominate this facility and we’ll have the latest news on all the moves they make in the moving market.

Pione Sisto, former of Celta de Vigo in Spain, is a Midtylland player to follow, with the direct and quick dribble driven through Donnohue to impress.

Midfielders Frank Onyeka and Evander are likely to see some action opposed to players like Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum or midfield for the hosts.
