ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

If Liverpool is interested in Ajer, it’s easy to see why. Ajer’s existing contract expires in 2022, which means Liverpool would have to pay a central defence payment if necessary.

If Liverpool is interested in Ajer, the club expects to spend no more than four million euros, as that is its current market value.

Ajer has played 132 games for Celtic. He had goals and three assists. Ajer has enough experience to be a young player.

He’s 22 years old, which means he’s got a lot of football left. In this case, it would definitely be an update to Lovren.

Lovren is 31 years old, which is at the back of his career.
