Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp’s headphones to win as Melwood farewell at historic auction

Fans will have the opportunity to own a part of Liverpool’s history, adding a pair of Jurgen Klopp headphones, while the club bids farewell to its old Melwood floor at a special online souvenir auction.

The event, to be held on 2 March, will see more than 360 pieces of Liverpool’s 70-year-old pass under the hammer at Melwood’s educational base and be auctioned.

The memories to be earned come with the slate used through Liverpool coach Klopp to reveal his team’s selections, the iconic ‘Champions Wall’ found in the main reception area, as well as the workplace and backdrop used for press conferences.

Fans can also bid for a pair of Klopp hearing aids and a representation of german game guitar in a rock band, as well as a variety of costume items, adding player pickets and canteen darts.

A special variety of pieces from the sale will be auctioned, in particular, to raise funds for the club’s official charity, the LFC Foundation. The cash raised will provide much-needed food and ongoing paintings on physical and intellectual well-being in the local community.

The driving force of the auction was the progression of Liverpool’s new AXA educational floor in Kirkby, which for the first time combines the club’s first team and academy in one place.

Liverpool’s appearance record holder, Ian Callaghan, told the club’s website: “What a memorable instance it is, when we say goodbye to our beloved Melwood and look into a new era and what our long-term time holds at the AXA Training Center.

“Melwood will occupy a special position in my heart. This was our home for over seven decades and has noticed us through some of the most important moments in our club’s history, from the final peaks to the demanding situations and trials we’ve faced in combination over the years.

“This is an exclusive opportunity for fans, who can offer for their own part of Liverpool FC’s history that they can stay forever. “

The auction will be held through Graham Budd Auctions, which organized the club’s last auction in 2018, when a lot of pieces from anfield’s former main stand crashed.
