Liverpool have reportedly submitted an offer for Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, and he is not expected to be part of Arne Slot’s squad immediately if the offer is accepted.
The Reds are yet to sign this summer after being recently snubbed by Spanish foreigner Martín Zubimendi, who opted to remain at Real Sociedad rather than head to Anfield.
However, Liverpool are expected to be busy in the final fortnight of the move-in window and lately they are looking for a deal to pinpoint Alisson’s long-term successor.
According to Relevo, the Slot team has submitted an offer worth around £30 million to sign Mamardashvili. Lately Valencia is the offer, having had several rounds of verbal conversations with the Merseyside team.
The league offer is “very attractive”, although at this point they have not decided whether or not to settle for it. Valencia board members are expected to talk about the proposal before responding.
Liverpool have made it clear that Mamardashvili will be loaned upon his arrival in England, but not to the Mestalla team. Instead, the Georgian foreigner would spend at least one season with Bournemouth to enjoy the Premier League.
Don’t miss. . . Anthony Gordon has sent a warning to Liverpool as Newcastle have said they can expect contentious talks.
The Cherries are willing to pay the goalkeeper’s highest salary of £3. 4m, which is more than Valencia can afford lately.
Mamardashvili also wants to move to the Premier League and believes this would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. He rejected a strategy by a Saudi Pro League team earlier this summer in favor of staying in Valencia.

Liverpool hope that negotiations will progress temporarily, as they are aware that other clubs have chosen Mamardashvili as a possible goalkeeper target and would therefore like any type of “soap opera”.
It remains to be seen if the arrival of the Georgian, architect of a sensational Euro 2024 that highlighted his quality, will be the only sign of the summer for Liverpool. Slot are keen to sign a new number 6 to be a pillar of their midfield, however, fears have been raised over the quality of the features in the market, so the Reds can accept this as true with their current crop of players in this department.
