Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp confirms Mo Salah must face Atalanta

Liverpool are expected to return to European action on Wednesday night.

The Reds, despite their recent injury problems, are in the most sensible way, both at home and in Europe.

Jurgen Klopp’s men put Leicester at break point this weekend to advance so far in the Premier League standings, while breaking a Champions League record this season.

In turn, Liverpool are the most sensitive in Group D, five issues ahead of second place Ajax.

If the Reds see Atalanta on Wednesday, they will secure a spot on circular 16 of the competition.

And as the Premier League champions have already beaten the Italians five times this month, they are sure to have 3 more problems at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp held his pre-Atalanta press convention on Tuesday afternoon.

During the press, the German took stock of Mohamed Salah of Liverpool.

The Egyptian missed the Reds’ 3-0 win over Leicester this weekend after testing positive for Covid-19 while on foreign service this month.

However, Salah, according to Klopp, is available, after returning a negative test:

“Mo trained and looked good, a negative check like the rest. It’s available. We want to see what we can do with that.
