Liverpool move: Al-Hilal ‘accept the terms’ with Klopp’s £68. 5m ‘priority’ after uttering the £51m winger

Al-Hilal is reportedly in talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti, who has been connected with Liverpool.

Verratti won nine Ligue 1 titles, six French Cups, six French League Cups and nine French Super Cups in his 11 years in Paris.

He has established himself as one of Europe’s midfielders, but at 30 he may accept a new challenge.

And that challenge turns out to be in Saudi Arabia, where several of the more sensible players must move this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, a deal that will bring Verratti to Al-Hilal is at an “advanced stage. “

Romano says the Saudi Pro League team “is now reaching an agreement with PSG for the Italian midfielder” after awarding him a three-year contract.

The Italian expert said it would be a “we’re leaving soon”, the two clubs seem far apart in their assessment of the Euro 2020 winner.

Al-Hilal have submitted 30 million euros (£25. 7 million) and PSG “want more” before giving the “green light”.

Romano then showed that Verratti had “agreed the terms” with the Saudi outfit and Sports Zone and Goal France (via Get French Football News) reported that PSG is asking for a value of €80 million (£69. 5 million).

While that is the case, it is claimed that a €60 million deal can be reached after Verratti reached a three-year contract worth €20 million according to the season.

The salary presented at Al-Hilal will obviously be to put any European club out of the water, which is a blow to Liverpool in the Premier League.

Spanish media outlet Nacional (reporting that an English club was looking for an Italian player to play in France) said that Verratti was looking to play in a “more difficult and competitive competition” and had “accepted Jurgen Klopp”.

If Verratti joins Al-Hilal, he will form a three-man midfield alongside Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ruben Neves.

While many Saudi clubs have shown plenty of ambition this summer, it must be said that Al-Hilal’s business has been the best.

In addition to Milinkovic-Savic and Neves, they signed former Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly and this week showed the arrival of Brazilian full-back Malcom.

Malcom, 26, had four brilliant years with Russian side Zenit and moved to the Middle East in a 60 million euro (£51 million) deal.

The former Barcelona winger scored 23 in 27 appearances last season when he helped Zenit win the Russian Premier League.
