Liverpool have called young central defender Morgan Boyes amid the injury crisis in Jurgen Klopp. Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip left, leaving the Reds at the center of the defense.
The 19-year-old joined Fleetwood Town in a season in August.
That’s after making two appearances for Liverpool in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup last year.
Fabinho, Rhys Williams and Nat Phillips are the three players needed for Klopp to take the two central defense spots.

“The 19-year-old defender first joined the League One team on a transitional basis in August.
“Wales under-21 foreigners have made two first-team appearances with the Reds and will now return to education at Kirkby. “
Liverpool return to action on Monday when they face Southampton in the Premier League (20:00 hours).
The Reds have connected with several central defenders as January’s play window approaches, David Alaba and Dayot Upamecano.

Former Liverpool star Dietmar Hamann does not believe the Reds will point to Bayern Munich’s Alaba in January.
“I think [Alaba’s] favorite destination has been Spain,” Hamann said at Astro Stadium.
“I don’t know if you need to go to the Premier League and come to Liverpool.
“The fact that Liverpool are interested is not surprising, as Alaba has been one of the most productive central defenders, after Virgil van Dijk, in the last 12 to 18 months.
“But I don’t see Bayern Munich let it go in January. “
Dayot Upamecano would also be a target for Liverpool, but Hamann believes RB Leipzig will be sold this month.
“Dayot Upamecano from Leipzig, which is surely wonderful in the back, Leipzig might not let him go,” Hamann said.
“I don’t think there’s any chance that [Liverpool] will have a central defence to do so for the next six weeks or years.
“I think [Upamecano] has a [release] clause [that would be active] this summer. These clubs may not be sold [mid-season],” Hamann said bluntly.
“[Klopp] wants to see what he can get in January. You look at the players who aren’t in the Champions League a little lower, and I’m not sure it’s the kind of player Liverpool wants to improve. “
