Liverpool are reportedly ready to check and sign Juventus winger Federico Chiesa this summer if Mohamed Salah leaves Anfield.
The Reds will bid farewell to Jurgen Klopp this summer after the Liverpool manager announced he would leave the Premier League club at the end of the season to take a break from football.
And it has sparked rumours that some members of Klopp’s squad could simply keep the German out of Anfield with Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and others connected to the moves.
Salah may be the biggest player to move after Al-Ittihad made a £150m bid for the Egyptian foreigner last summer amid rumours that he was willing to spend up to £200m to sign the Liverpool striker.
The Reds have made it clear that Salah is not for sale at any price, however, rumours are already circulating that he could leave Liverpool this summer if Al-Ittihad or the Saudi Pro League return.
Former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique believes Salah will “leave” this summer if the Reds receive a suitable offer this summer.

“If the right offer comes, I think Salah will leave because I think he looked to leave last summer,” Enrique told Grosvenor Sport.
“Last summer they were presented with something like £200 million and it’s a genuine offer!
“When you get an offer like that, it usually means there’s already an agreement between the player and the club. I think Salah had already agreed to spend there and, despite everything, he will move to Saudi Arabia this summer. »
Harry added: “Jurgen Klopp is leaving, so it’s the best time for Salah to go. There’s a new cycle at Liverpool and a lot of changes, so it’s the best thing for him. It’s probably going to be the last big contract of his career, so I think he’ll go to Saudi Arabia.
And now, Italian publication Tuttosport insists that the Reds are interested in Chiesa and that smart performances between now and the end of the season may have a negative effect on Juventus’ chances of keeping the Italy international.
Chiesa will have one year left on his contract this summer and Juventus are concerned that if they link the Italian to a new deal before the start of Euro 2024, that interest will grow, “starting with Liverpool”.
If Chiesa impresses at the Euros, that could lead to his entourage insisting on “higher standards” and Liverpool “could once again turn their attention” to the winger.
