Feyenoord defender Lutsharel Geertruida will reportedly push for a move if Liverpool make an offer for him this summer.
The Reds are set for a summer of renewal with Jurgen Klopp leaving Anfield at the end of the season to take a break from football.
Widely circulated reports now imply that Feyenoord boss Arne Slot will update him on the Liverpool bench, with the club lately planning for the summer move window.
Michael Edwards has returned as FSG’s managing director of football, while Richard Hughes has arrived from Bournemouth as the Reds’ new sporting director.
Slot will play an active role in the signing, although it is possible that they will simply introduce their own players, which helped link Geertruida with Feyenoord.
Transfer expert Dean Jones insists the £25m Dutchman would likely “push” to move to Liverpool or a big club this summer if an offer is made.

The Sun claims that Darwin Nunez, criticised for his poor record this season, “is a surprise target for Barcelona in a summer of adjustments at the Camp Nou”.
Barca are replacing Robert Lewandowski with The Sun, adding that “Nunez is among Liverpool’s highest-paid but receives about a quarter of the Polish striker’s money, which puts him well within Barcelona’s reach. “
It is understood that Liverpool “are willing to do business” with Barcelona, that the Reds will “sell the failed star” in a “shocking” summer transfer.
The report adds: “Nunez is perfectly satisfied at Anfield and is pushing to move. But it’s telling that South American resources insist he’s drawn to the concept of playing for the Spanish giants.
