Mohamed Salah responded to claims that he “was unlucky” in Liverpool by posting a smiling selfie on social media. The player’s long career has been a subject of hypothesis following claims that he would possibly leave Anfield in the short to long term.
In statements to Twitter and Instagram, the Egyptian posted a picture of himself smiling on the lens of his camera, a strong reaction to claims about his mental state at the club.
Salah will not post a caption with the photo, but given the time of publication, the link is clear.
Discussions about the player’s long career intensified over the weekend following an interview with Spanish publication AS, alluding to a movement imaginable to Barcelona or Real Madrid.
Liverpool’s sense of purpose refused to rule out a transfer to one of La Liga’s two most sensitive clubs and gave the impression of not dedicating himself to his long career with the current Premier League champions.
“I think Madrid and Barcelona are the most sensitive clubs,” he said. “We never know what it will be in the future.
“Right now I’m focusing on the Premier League and Champions League with my club.
“Everything is in the hands of the club. Of course, I need to break records here and, I repeat, all the club records, but it’s all in the hands of the club. “
Salah also expressed his “disappointment” at being overlooked in the Liverpool Champions League captaincy draw with FC Midtjylland this month.
