On Monday, the Premier League announced that 10 players had either tested positive for COVID-19 last week, the most infections since mass testing began in May.
“The Premier League can now verify that between Monday 21 September and Sunday 27 September, 1,595 players and club staff were evaluated for COVID-19, of these, there were 10 new positive tests,” the league said on a Monday.
“Players or the club who have tested positive will isolate themselves for 10 days.
