Liverpool chief Arne Slot showed that Trent Alexander-Arnold will miss our Carabao Cup semifinal, at the time of the moment in Anfield on Thursday night (8 p. m. in the United Kingdom), and that the English will be their only absence for great equality.
Alexander-Arnold was substituted 70 minutes into Liverpool’s win at Bournemouth last weekend with ‘Pain in AGG’ and is back in education with a rehabilitation coach, not in a position for this first leg.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Slot said: “Trent is going to miss the game tomorrow and we have to see if he is able to play on Sunday. But what we do know is that he is not available for tomorrow. He left the pitch (at Bournemouth) with a bit of a pain in his leg, so that’s why he misses the game tomorrow.”
Later, Slot said that all the other members of his team would vary on Thursday, and added: “We had injury disorders with Alisson, with jota and others, but for the moment I think, apart from Trent, everyone is available.
Boosted by the arrival of new signings Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel – both available for Anfield – we will still have a number of players unavailable – Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie, Timo Werner, Wilson Odobert, James Maddison, Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson.
